Harris & Steadman offer bespoke funeral services throughout Portsmouth, Portchester, Fareham, Cosham and the surrounding areas. Bespoke funeral services are personalized ceremonies that depart from traditional formats, allowing families to tailor every aspect of the service, from music and readings to decorations and service format, to the individual's life, personality, and beliefs. This approach emphasizes creating a unique and meaningful tribute, focusing on celebrating the deceased's life and providing a more personal experience for grieving families.
We understand how important it is to meet your needs and wishes, which is why we offer tailor-made services. By listening to want people want, we can offer complete flexibility so every service can feature precisely what you need. Every funeral service is incredibly personal, which is why we believe in offering unique services. Bespoke funerals are fully flexible funerals that can be tailored to a family's individual wishes to create a meaningful tribute for a loved one.
The following services are included:
- Professional services - Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements
- Removal to our Chapel from within a 15 mile radius* 24hrs a day
- Preparation and care of the deceased (including dressing in own clothes if required)
- Private Chapel of Rest
- Provision of an oak veneered coffin complete with fixtures, gown and interior
- Provision of Funeral Director throughout
- Attendance of Funeral Director and Pall Bearers at the funeral service
- A hearse or other appropriate vehicle

Funeral disbursements are costs to third-party providers, such as cemetery or crematorium fees, doctors' fees, celebrant charges, or floral tributes, which a funeral director pays on your behalf and then recharges to you for these additional costs
- Portchester Crematorium Fee (at April 2025) is £900.00
- Funeral officiant (e.g. celebrant, minister of religion etc.) is £220.00
